Artistic statement:

The eye is the most important and real thing in my life. Everything I see, everything I know is from my eyes. I’ve seen many amazing things with my eyes. You can see all of my emotions through my eyes, if I am sad, excited, or scared. No one can see into the future, that’s why I wrote UNKNOWN SINCE 1995(the year I was born). I don’t know what I will see tomorrow, or in 20 years. I count on my eyes to show me in time how my life will unfold. Next to that wording is the word Desirable. This has to do with comparing yourself to others and seeing how they act compared to you. People become jealous when they see something desirable that they don’t have, but someone else does. This can bring out the worst in people. The scar underneath that symbolizes tragedy. Once you see something, you cant unseen it. I have witnessed something’s that I will never forget ,it will stay with me forever. What people can see really effect them emotionally and scar them for life. The fire in the right corner of the eye symbolizes passion. Passion can be expressed through your eyes. Love or hate brings out the fire in some ones eyes. The moon is about wanting something out of your reach. You need to follow your dreams, accept failure, and try again. The fireworks symbolize you experiencing joy through your eyesight, the enjoyable moments in life, where you just want to jump up and down and scream lyrics to your favorite song.

Trail and Error

The first day I went shooting it was to late. The camera lens didn’t capture enough light so all of the pictures came out to dark. Also I tried to have my dog in the picture, but he wouldn’t stay still and he kept getting distracted by things on the beach. As I review my work I found that less is more. The picture of my eye conveyed a message and was perfect to express myself. All that work was for nothing.
