My self-portrait

Artist statement

I chose this picture of me, because it expresses freedom. The best place to take a picture that does not show any limits is the beach. You say the sky is the limit but you do not see it in this picture and that’s what I like about it. The combination of sky and the ocean shows the freedom you have in this world and how you can live your life like you want and nobody else. In this world you rush through everything and don’t think about the small nice things. When I’m at the beach and look up to the sky I find to myself and think about the things I want, my goals in life or be creative. It is a relief not having anything around and that is what I wanted to express in my self-portrait, an inspiring place where you feel free and creative where no one can reach you.
