Artist Statement: For my self portrait, I took a picture of myself, sitting down thinking about life. Thinking about how life works? Why do we have to go to school? What is the meaning of life? Why don’t we just have fun and not have school? There is a basketball in the left of the picture, basketball is really important to me. I have been playing basketball for most of my conscious life. There is always a connection between basketball and me; it is really hard to pull us apart. Also, the woods in the background are the environments that I am in now. Saying that I want to live in this kind of environment, where there is no war, no fight, no weapons, no bullying, and a nice, wonderful life. For the background of my self portrait, I overlap the sky cloud and woods forest in the back ground. It represents how beautiful the world is, and we should all enjoy life. I thought the background worked really well!
Trial & Error: I had many problems using photoshop, I thought it was really difficult to me. I spent lots of time doing and editing my picture. Also, it was really hard coming up with an idea about what I'm going to shoot.
