What is Media Studies?

The Integrated Media Studies classes are mandatory, trimester, non-elective courses, grades 9-11 that are integrated into the cultural history curriculum. In all the Media Studies courses, students learn to deconstruct and construct media via collaborative and individual projects and activities, production, discussion, and written reflection. This is a double-period class.

The image is to express that it is sometimes important to escape the everyday routine and to try something different. The traffic on the bridge is a symbol for stress and we tried to get away from the stress and can simply hang out and relax the soul. And I think all of us can imagine the beautiful view from the top on the bridge.

You really should enjoy these moments, because these moments eventually have an end, that’s the reason, why I’m hanging from the bridge and not standing on the bridge, because after a certain time period I won’t have power left and just fall back into the everyday routine. And it shall also mean, if you change your perspective from time to time, you will take many things differently, because if we would be in the traffic we definitely would be very annoyed, but from the higher level, we perhaps can see the nice lights and watch the cars driving by and listen to the dimmed honking.
