Artiste Statement:

No matter how anxious I am, I would always stay calm. My self-portrait shows that I am lost in a mysterious place, I am standing there and do not know what to do. Although I am facing a difficult circumstance as shown in the picture, I would always think positively and stay calm. Anxiety does not fix any problems. In my self-portrait, I am standing behind the grassland, with sun shining on my back. Sunshine means hope to me, if there is sunshine, hope is always there. I appeared to be strong, and it is actually my real personality. I do not like to give up whenever I face challenges. I believe that everything has its negative and positive point, if I keep struggling it with negative feelings, things will get worse. Thinking positively is all what I can do. I do not like to express out my feelings, quietness is sometimes a mask to hide my expressions. It is also a way of protecting myself.
