What is Media Studies?

The Integrated Media Studies classes are mandatory, trimester, non-elective courses, grades 9-11 that are integrated into the cultural history curriculum. In all the Media Studies courses, students learn to deconstruct and construct media via collaborative and individual projects and activities, production, discussion, and written reflection. This is a double-period class.

I as an artist view myself as more of a out of the box person with big ideas. My ideas come to fruition after much poking and prodding from outside sorceress.

in my art work I am using a lot of things that are semi grand and yet are poor quality. The yin and yang on the fruit show my respect for symmetry. The gong, shoes, and fruit as well as my stance suggest that I am welcoming a guest. While the open book shows I have been working or will be working with this guest. I chose Athena to be the person who comes to me because she was one of the most important people to me. I love her dearly and wish to emulate her so to have her visit me when she is the goddess of wisdom and I am a insignificant wannabe writer would be amazing. It is both honoring her wisdom and my servitude to her but also it’s me saying I am loved enough to be visited by my favored goddess. This is a piece that speaks of more then just studying under a goddess because it is well know that the olive groves were a place of seduction. Food for the thought but that’s really what this is for I don’t know myself too well but I do know my love for the Greek gods shines bright and pure.
