What is Media Studies?

The Integrated Media Studies classes are mandatory, trimester, non-elective courses, grades 9-11 that are integrated into the cultural history curriculum. In all the Media Studies courses, students learn to deconstruct and construct media via collaborative and individual projects and activities, production, discussion, and written reflection. This is a double-period class.

Michael Philosophical Paragraph

I can’t live without having food. The most important thing for me is to eat. The most important thing besides eating and sleeping is sports for me. I’m a sport kid; I just can’t live without playing sports I guess. I was born to play sports! My main sport is basketball and I have been playing for my whole life. Also, music and friends are important for me too. It is hard to live without having friends or music. Media and technology are just all over the place in 21st century, it is hard for a teenage kid to live without any electronics devices, but I think it is not hard for me, because I have lived in a world without any electronics devices before. In addition, school & study is a big thing for me too, I’m here having school in America, and I have to be good, I can’t let my parents down.

Quotes:

“Without music, life would be a mistake” by Friedrich Nietzsche

"I still live, I still think: I still have to live, for I still have to think” by Friedrich Nietzsche

“In heaven, all the interesting people are missing” by Friedrich Nietzsche
